Responsibilities

  • Daily follow-up on all technical aspects of assigned vessels, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient performance
  • Monitor and respond to daily vessel correspondence, providing guidance on technical matters
  • Conduct routine inspections of vessels, either onboard or via remote inspection methods
  • Provide technical data required for fixtures and respond to charterer requests
  • Collaborate closely with Marine and Purchasing teams to optimise maintenance planning
  • Monitor, assess and support the onboard technical crew
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across vessel performance, maintenance and technical operations

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent
  • Several years of seagoing experience, including at least one year as Chief Engineer
  • Candidates with tanker sailing backgrounds but strong shore-based bulk experience are also suitable
  • Candidates who sailed primarily on bulk but have some shore-based tanker exposure are also suitable
  • Experience with container or bulk vessels considered an advantage
  • Strong track record within the maritime industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Responsible, diligent and well-organised, with a high level of motivation
  • Experience working with diversified fleets is an asset
