Your life on board

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for securing the safe and efficient operation of the refrigeration and HVAC plants, including all necessary systems. You will handle the maintenance, repair, and supervision of these systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • You are ensuring the ship’s environmental compliance and sustainability.

Get things right

  • You will maintain the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of the refrigeration plant, including refrigerated provision rooms and catering equipment.
  • You will monitor and supervise the storage temperature of provision rooms and refrigerators.
  • You will handle and monitor the provision cooling units and refrigerated catering equipment, including recording refrigerant leakages.
  • You will maintain and repair all ice machines on board and the refrigeration part of beverage dispensing systems.
  • You will ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of the air conditioning system, including supervision and monitoring of room air in all compartments.
  • You will perform planned maintenance, and repair works on air conditioning plants, air ducts, and ventilating fans.

 What makes you unique

  • You have a Secondary School Mechanical Education, a Diploma in Reefer/HVAC maintenance/service, and a certificate to operate with refrigerants.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience as a refrigeration technician and HVAC technician on passenger ships or ferries.
  • You have solid experience in operational faultfinding, analyzing, repairs, and regular maintenance.
  • You have a B2 spoken level of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
