Technical Superintendent (Dry Bulk)

An excellent opportunity to join a respected dry bulk shipowner that forms part of a large and well-established family of maritime businesses. We’re seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a modern dry bulk fleet.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical supervision of assigned dry bulk vessels, including maintenance planning, drydock preparation and execution, and performance monitoring
• Ensuring compliance with statutory, class and internal requirements through audits, inspections and certification management
• Supporting onboard teams through briefings, evaluations, training initiatives and promoting a strong safety culture
• Investigating incidents, conducting risk assessments and driving continuous improvement
• Overseeing spare parts, services and repairs, ensuring timely supply and cost-effective solutions
• Attending vessels regularly to assess condition, verify planned maintenance and provide hands-on guidance

Requirements

• Naval Architecture degree, or seagoing experience as 1st Engineer or Chief Engineer
• 8–10 years of experience in a similar shore-based technical role
• Strong experience with dry docks and RightShip inspections
• Fluency in written and spoken Greek and English, with strong computer literacy
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally
• Experience with geared bulk carriers and cranes is a significant advantage
• Experience with geared vessels will be considered an asset
• Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate transparently and demonstrate strong work ethic
• Results-focused with proven problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational and prioritisation ability
