Responsibilities

Marine Claims Manager – Hong Kong – Permanent – $1.2m – $1.5m HKD

 

I am partnering with a leading marine insurance company who are looking to make a senior hire for their claims team in their Hong Kong office. The role will involve handling a variety of disputes ranging from vessel collisions, injury to crew, loss or damage to cargo, pollution liability and legal defence.

 

This opportunity can be suitable for lawyers who have strong experience (at least 5 years) in handling maritime related disputes. Alternatively, the company will be happy to consider an ex-seafarer that can demonstrate excellent practical knowledge and experience of dealing with marine incidents and claims whilst being on board. Applicants with seagoing experience should also have recent shore based experience in a relevant role and a genuine interest to working in the marine insurance/ legal sector for the long term.

 

The company will prefer applicants that are already based in Hong Kong with the right to work in the country, however candidates with strong experience who are willing to relocate to Hong Kong can also be considered.
