We have partnered with a Global Oil and Gas Industry leader that is looking for a Businees Anaylst - Risk.

The Business Analyst - Risk position will be based in Houston.

Responsibilities required for the Business Analyst - Risk position:

  • Ensure the daily successful operation of the business process inside the system and outside
  • Assist with upgrade of Endur to version 14.
  • Responsible for assigned system configuration items (reference data, new deal entry, etc.)
  • Develops and conducts training to business peers
  • Tests items and gives approval for migration to production
  • Provides assurance of IT testing results for either incidents or project items
  • Assists Business SME with their workstreams
  • Responsible for managing the tactical day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modelling, simulating and analysing current and future states, working with business representatives who are the subject matter experts in their area.
  • Support and enhance the solutions for the Global EM and S business in their local region
  • Work with Application Developers and /or Application Vendors to test / validate application changes to the solutions

Qualifications required for the Business Analyst - Risk position:

  • Experience with OpenLink Endur required.
  • Experience with CXL CreditRisk, ShipNet, Matlab, ZEMA a plus.
  • Business process analysis and the creation of business cases
  • Intermediate level of experience successfully providing business analysis services in a corporate setting;
  • Experience supporting technology solutions, including change management, application testing, data integrity management and end-user support and training;
  • Experience designing or changing business processes to gain full value from technology solutions;
  • Significant understanding of commodities trading and transaction types; both physical and financial transaction types
  • Commodity experience with one or more of the following; NatGas, LNG, Power, Oil or NGLs
  • Familiar with risk reporting, such as Mark-to-Market, PandL, Value-at-Risk, Credit-at-Risk, etc.
  • Flash to Actual reporting or other variance analysis for energy commodity trading and marketing

Education required for the Business Analyst - Risk position:

The candidate would preferably possess:

  • A Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a related subject
