This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established ship registry in London in the capacity of Technical Compliance Officer within the Seafarers and Manning department

Responsibilities

Working within the Seafarers and Manning Team, you will be involved in an array of elements within training and certification of seafarers and Mobile Offshore Units, including assessments of candidates for STCW certification, audits and approvals of training institutions that provide maritime training and education, work with Maritime Labour Convention

You will review and issue Minimum Safe Manning Documents participate in work with regulations and a variety of other ad hoc tasks such as meetings in the International Maritime Organisation, participate in industry conferences, meeting clients and analysing other human resource and technical solutions that the authority is queried about

Requirements

  • Ideally hold a Class one Master Mariner Unlimited license
  • Command experience (highly desirable)
  • ISM / ISO 9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor Qualified with auditing experience as an internal or external auditor
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Maritime Industry and International Regulations
  • Experience in auditing documented management systems
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Able to learn new software products.
  • A helpful and friendly approach
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Computer literate and willing to learn new computer skills

Must have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
