This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established ship registry in London in the capacity of Technical Compliance Officer within the Seafarers and Manning department.

Responsibilities

Working within the Seafarers and Manning Team, you will be involved in training and certification of seafarers and Mobile Offshore Units, including assessments of candidates for STCW certification, audits and approvals of maritime training institutions, and work with the Maritime Labour Convention.

You will review and issue Minimum Safe Manning Documents, participate in work with regulations and attend meetings in the International Maritime Organization, industry conferences, meet clients and analyse human resource and technical solutions as required.

Requirements

  • Ideally hold a Class One Master Mariner Unlimited licence
  • Command experience (highly desirable)
  • ISM / ISO 9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor qualified with auditing experience as an internal or external auditor
  • In-depth knowledge of the maritime industry and international regulations
  • Experience in auditing documented management systems
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Able to learn new software products
  • A helpful and friendly approach
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Computer literate and willing to learn new computer skills
  • Right to work in the UK
