Vessel Operator (Tankers)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global and fast paced ship management company based in Glasgow.

As vessel operator, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily activities, optimizing cargo management and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the highest level of efficiency and performance

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the operational activities of a fleet of Tanker Vessels, ensuring their smooth and efficient functioning.
• Implement effective cargo stowage planning strategies to maximize vessel capacity while maintaining safety and compliance
• Collaborate extensively with Charterers, Brokers, and Senior Leaders to maintain strong working relationships and ensure alignment of objectives
• Utilize Shipnet Voyage System to keep accurate and up-to-date records of vessel activities.
• Continuously monitor vessel performance and implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• At least 1 year shore based experience as a Vessel Operator, Broker or similar (desirable)
• Previous experience working at sea on Tanker vessels (Highly desirable)
• Understand critical milestones to set and manage tight deadlines.
• An enthusiastic approach, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Marine Operator qualification (Desirable)

This role is office based in Glasgow so you must be prepared to live in commutable distance to the office and have the existing right to work in the UK
