We have partnered with a global supplier of oilfield metals, services and solutions to oil and gas manufacturers and service companies in their search for a CNC Programmer / Operator. The CNC Machine Programmer will write programs, provide accurate quotes, provide time estimates, and tooling list. Must have knowledge of various types of machines to perform production machining operations where sequences, set-up methods, material and tooling are specified by process drawings, shop orders, and other documents for use in the oil and gas industry.

Qualified CNC Programmer / Operator candidates will possess the following:

• High school diploma / GED
• 5 or more years of experience in a similar field
• The ability to work independently
• Must be able write programs on BobCAD-CAM or comparable software (e.g. Gibbscamm, Mastercam)
• Must be able to provide accurate quotes and time estimates for assigned jobs
• Must be able to provide an accurate tooling list to complete assigned jobs
• Ability to pass a basic math and measurement test
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude

CNC Programmer / Operator Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Develop routers for projects.
• Develop overall quotes for jobs.
• Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining.
• Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines to include but not limited to saw, straightening, lathe, boring, drilling, and/or honing machines.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust the machine controls or control media as necessary.
• Verify conformance of finished part to ensure that it meets specifications.
• Develop and design work holding and select cutting tools.
• Utilize BobsCAD-CAM to develop programs and tool path models.
• Effectively communicate and report machine performance and areas for improvement in machining process.
• Warehouse/ Manufacturing employees must comply with company Safety and Security policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
• Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
• Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of part/product, sequence of operations and/or set up requirements.
• Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention.
• Continuously look to improve and advance machining techniques to enhance productivity.
• Ability to direct or lead other employees as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Comply with Company policy and procedures on Quality Assurance as well as Company Health and Safety Policy.
