An international cruise company is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its onboard HR team as a Learning and Development Manager Trainee. This dynamic role is designed for professionals with a passion for talent development, training facilitation, and organizational growth in a multicultural, fast-paced environment at sea.
As a key member of the shipboard HR function, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training programs, supporting team member development, managing e-learning systems, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory training standards. You will play a vital role in promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth onboard.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate onboarding, compliance, leadership, and skill-building training sessions.
- Manage and maintain the ship's learning systems, including the Learning Resource Centre.
- Coach and support team members in their professional development journeys.
- Assist with identifying training needs and delivering effective learning solutions.
- Monitor compliance with company learning standards and regulatory training requirements.
- Collaborate with shipboard departments and shoreside teams to implement development programs.
- Support broader HR functions, including engagement and onboarding activities.
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a Learning & Development management role or previous management-level operational experience with significant training responsibilities.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
- Skilled in group facilitation and instructor-led training.
- Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning technology platforms.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
