An international cruise company is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its onboard HR team as a Learning and Development Manager Trainee. This dynamic role is designed for professionals with a passion for talent development, training facilitation, and organizational growth in a multicultural, fast-paced environment at sea.

As a key member of the shipboard HR function, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training programs, supporting team member development, managing e-learning systems, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory training standards. You will play a vital role in promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth onboard.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate onboarding, compliance, leadership, and skill-building training sessions.

  • Manage and maintain the ship’s learning systems, including the Learning Resource Centre.

  • Coach and support team members in their professional development journeys.

  • Assist with identifying training needs and delivering effective learning solutions.

  • Monitor compliance with company learning standards and regulatory training requirements.

  • Collaborate with shipboard departments and shoreside teams to implement development programs.

  • Support broader HR functions, including engagement and onboarding activities.

Requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a Learning & Development management role or

  • Previous management-level operational experience with significant training responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.

  • Skilled in group facilitation and instructor-led training.

  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning technology platforms.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
