An international cruise company is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its onboard HR team as a Learning and Development Manager Trainee. This dynamic role is designed for professionals with a passion for talent development, training facilitation, and organizational growth in a multicultural, fast-paced environment at sea.
As a key member of the shipboard HR function, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training programs, supporting team member development, managing e-learning systems, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory training standards. You will play a vital role in promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth onboard.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate onboarding, compliance, leadership, and skill-building training sessions.

Manage and maintain the ship’s learning systems, including the Learning Resource Centre.

Coach and support team members in their professional development journeys.
-
Assist with identifying training needs and delivering effective learning solutions.

Monitor compliance with company learning standards and regulatory training requirements.

Collaborate with shipboard departments and shoreside teams to implement development programs.
-
Support broader HR functions, including engagement and onboarding activities.
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications:
-
2+ years in a Learning & Development management role or
-
Previous management-level operational experience with significant training responsibilities.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
-
Skilled in group facilitation and instructor-led training.
-
Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning technology platforms.

Fluent in spoken and written English.
