We are seeking a passionate and service-driven Assistant Front Desk Manager to support the delivery of world-class guest experiences. This key shipboard leadership role works closely with the Front Desk Manager to drive excellence at the front desk, manage team performance, and resolve guest concerns with empathy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example at the front desk, ensuring industry-leading service delivery at all guest touchpoints.
Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Respond to escalated guest concerns with professionalism and urgency; follow up for full resolution.
Manage daily operations such as guest inquiries, lost luggage, cash handling, SeaPass issuance, and more.
Coordinate with Financial and Guest Services teams to align service and financial compliance.
Help develop schedules that ensure appropriate front desk coverage, especially during high-traffic periods.
Promote a positive, solutions-focused team culture and contribute to succession planning.
Maintain compliance with USPH, immigration, safety, and company policies.
Ensure timely updates of guest materials, language translations, and guest-facing content.
Assist with embarkation/debarkation, guest clearances, and logistical transitions between itineraries.
Requirements
Experience & Education:
1+ year front-of-house supervisory experience in hospitality, cruise, or hotel setting preferred.
High school diploma or vocational education equivalent preferred.
Skills:
Strong customer service, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills with discretion, diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity.
Fluent in English (verbal & written); additional languages like Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Portuguese are a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
Experience with U.S. cash handling and foreign exchange procedures required.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and participate fully in emergency drills and shipboard life-saving procedures.
Must have full range of vision, hearing, and mobility.
