Key Responsibilities

As an Able Seaman, you will:

• Participate in all statutory fire and safety drills onboard.
• Assist with mooring and unmooring operations.
• Support loading, unloading, securing, and unlashing of vehicles.
• Marshal traffic during embarkation and disembarkation.
• Undertake general vessel maintenance under the direction of the Chief Officer — including cleaning, painting, and greasing.
• Perform duties assigned on the muster list during drills and emergencies.
• Conduct lookout and bridge watchkeeping duties as required.
• Carry out fire and safety patrols, ensuring all areas remain secure.
• Assist in maintaining firefighting, safety, and lifesaving equipment.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must hold:

Able Seafarer (Deck) CoC
STCW Basic Training, including Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB)
Valid ENG1 medical certificate
Proven experience working onboard passenger or ferry vessels
Full right to work and reside in the United Kingdom
