Navis Consulting are looking for a Sales Engineer with a passion for delivering cutting edge advanced software solutions into the Maritime Sector. Specialising in IoT and big data analytics, we provide remote monitoring systems for the maritime and industrial sectors, with customers all around the globe. We design and build our products and develop all our software in-house offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the sales targets set in line with business objectives
- Support other sales team members with technical customer questions to deliver quicker turnaround of opportunities
- Translate technical requests from our customers into suitable solutions that exceed the clients expectations
- Initial engagement with customers to establish monitoring requirements and interfaces to existing marine systems
- Manage a portfolio of prospective and actual customers to ensure business growth for the key revenue streams for the company
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows globally
- Support our Product Directors with recommending new innovative features to help drive innovation and solutions which positively impact the maritime industry.
Requirements
Experience and Skills Required:
- Customer-focused communicator: Strong ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Technically minded: Having a back ground knowledge of the maritime sector and a drive to help the sector become more efficient and environmentally friendly
- Self-Motivated: A strong drive to learn and continuously improve.
- Previous experiences of selling into the maritime sector
- Previous experience of selling electrical and mechanical equipment to the maritime sector
- Commercially minded
- Ability to Multitask
- Basic electrical engineering skills
- Ability to build relationships with key maritime stakeholders
- Reliable time management skills
- Comfortable with business travel
Desirable Skills:
- Engineering Degree or Certifications
- Managerial Experience
