What You’ll Do
As Technical Superintendent, you will be accountable for the full technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry regulation and company standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Overseeing vessel maintenance, repair, modifications, and dry dockings.
• Planning and delivering both corrective and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensuring cost-effective technical and operational solutions.
• Supporting crews with tools, resources, and technical guidance.
• Monitoring vessel performance and implementing corrective actions.
• Managing budgets, purchasing, and inventory for all technical operations.
• Leading accident investigations, audits, and inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company technical standards.

This is a permanent, shore-based role in Felixstowe.

What You’ll Bring
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar technical superintendent or engineering role.
• Relevant engineering or maritime qualifications.
• Strong technical knowledge of vessel maintenance, operations, and best practices.
• People management and leadership experience.
• Proficiency with planned maintenance systems.
• Seagoing experience is highly desirable.
• Previous shore-based technical management experience is an advantage.
