About us

Sea-Eye e. V. is a civil rescue organization founded in 2015 to no longer stand idly by while people die in the Mediterranean. With our rescue vessel, we operate on the world’s deadliest migration route to save lives at sea – because we believe: “Every life counts!”

Our headquarters are in Regensburg, but many of our staff work remotely across Germany and internationally. We also have workspaces in Leipzig, Hamburg, Munich, and Berlin.

Your tasks

• Coordinate vessel operations in close cooperation with Fleet Management and the shipping company
• Lead and monitor technical and nautical processes
• Plan maintenance and repair work in collaboration with ship technicians
• Organize spare parts and consumables
• Develop and document processes and standards
• Support crew planning in collaboration with other departments
• Budget planning and budget responsibility

Your profile

• Completed technical training and professional experience in shipping
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Team player with enthusiasm for working with volunteers
• Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new situations
• Willingness to travel (Germany, Italy)
• Confident in using IT tools (MS Word, Excel)
