Technical Superintendent – Aberdeen

Our client, an operator of survey vessels, is currently seeking a Technical Superintendent to be based in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our client’s fleet.

Key responsibilities include:
-Monitoring vessel maintenance and condition
-Planning and executing dry-dockings and major repairs
-Ensuring compliance with international regulations and company procedures
-Overseeing statutory and classification surveys for fleet equipment
-Investigating major machinery failures and managing insurance claims
-Addressing technical non-conformities within the SMS
-Supporting collection and execution of operational orders from clients
-Ensuring vessels are operated according to contract requirements
-Implementing marine safety and environmental policies onboard
-Preparing and reviewing ship/shore emergency contingency plans
-Managing and improving the Safety Management System
-Coordinating emergency preparedness activities
-Investigating safety incidents and related insurance matters
-Liaising with classification societies on class-related defects
