Our client is a global supplier of turnkey solutions for the marine and offshore sectors, with a specialized focus on catering systems and technical outfitting. As part of their continued growth in the refrigeration machinery domain, they are seeking a skilled and proactive Projects & Engineering Manager to oversee project delivery and lead an international engineering team within their Catering Systems Division.
Responsibilities
Project & Contract Management
-
Oversee all phases of refrigeration machinery projects, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, quality, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Act as the primary point of contact for client relations, contract execution, and commercial compliance.

Handle negotiations for change orders and claims, ensuring alignment with both customer requirements and internal business goals.

Monitor and manage project risks and opportunities proactively.
Engineering Leadership

Manage the engineering team responsible for refrigeration and automation systems.

Ensure technical deliverables—drawings, specifications, bill of materials—are accurate, on time, and in compliance with internal standards and project requirements.

Develop and mentor engineering talent within the team to maintain technical expertise and delivery performance.

Drive the design and development of new refrigeration products in alignment with divisional strategy.
Cross-Functional Involvement

Collaborate with sales and pre-contract teams to support project acquisition efforts.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives and promote a culture of continuous enhancement across workflows.

Ensure the team remains fully updated on relevant technical standards and maritime regulations applicable to refrigeration systems in passenger vessels.

To thrive in this role, you should bring a balance of technical expertise, leadership ability, and commercial understanding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Engineering background, preferably in mechanical, refrigeration, marine, or a related field.

Strong technical understanding of refrigeration systems, piping, shipbuilding, and automation.

Proven leadership skills and experience managing engineering or project teams.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Fluency in English and strong interpersonal communication abilities.

Comfortable with digital tools including MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.

A self-starting mindset, open to new ideas and eager to operate in a fast-paced, international setting.
