Chief Engineer

The Company

Our client is a 55m+ Mediterranean based luxury private yacht. After recent changes on the yacht and an extensive yard period they are looking for a Chief Engineer to finish the yard period and prepare for a cruising season in the Mediterranean.

The Role

Chief Engineer
- Managing all operations of the engine room and operation on the vessel.
- Working with the 2nd engineer to get tasks completed.
- Ensuring all safety, operational and commercial procedures are followed.
- Preparing the yacht for cruising

The Person

The ideal candidates for this position will be looking for a long term placement on a private yacht with the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar sized yacht.
- Chief Engineer requires a minimum Y3 qualification and extensive knowledge of Caterpillar engines.
- Previous refit/yard experience would be a strong asset.
