Project Operation Support Manager

My client is a successful Aberdeen based operator who own and operate all of their own vessels.

Initially to work on De-commissioning Project

*Defines operational requirements in accordance with safety, statutory, client requirements and ensures that these requirements are met in the tender and project phase.
*Sets-up and manages the operations tender, project team and operational budget.
*Develops the operations policies, strategies and defines the pre-operations deliverables.
*Establishes the local shore base and develops the supply chain, including logistic support.
*Establishes the formal and informal lines of communications with the client, local regulatory bodies, subcontractors and suppliers during project phase as required.
*Manages the recruitment process for onshore and offshore operations personnel and ensures compliance of personnel with the relevant training matrix.
*Ensures that the project fulfils the specified operations requirements.
*Manages the operational integration in the project commissioning teams.
*Act as initial Asset/Site Manager in the initial operations phase.
*Provides progress reporting to the Tender Manager or Project Manager and the Vice President Floating Production.
*Provides support to business development activities as required.


Education & experience
*Bachelor's degree in Naval/Mechanical Engineer or Class 1 Master or Class 1 Marine Engineering
*Previous experience with offshore operations.
*Experience as OIM or Superintendent or Master Mariner or Chief Engineer.
*Experience with project & operations management related or offshore oil & gas producing installations, preferable with FPSO's.
*FPSO experience is highly desirable.
*English good, verbally as well as in writing.
*Willing to travel and accept medium to long term assignments to locations outside UK. (this bullet point to be confirmed).
