Technical Superintendent

The Company

Our client, a global shipping organisation based on the South Coast of England, are looking for a Technical Superintendent to join their team.

The Role

As Technical Superintendent, you will report directly to the Fleet Manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that HSEQ, class and flag regulations are met and maintained, performing vessel inspections, and planning and supervising Dry Dockings and voyage maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Shore based experience in ship management position
-Strong seagoing experience on ocean going vessels (ideally as 2nd Engineer or higher)
-Strong organisation, delegation, relationship building and interpersonal skills
-Strong budgeting experience
-Excellent computer literacy
-Knowledge of OPEX and ISM Systems
-It is essential that you have up to date maritime legislation knowledge
