A leading Cruise line is looking for Stage & Production Managers, they will be overseeing all technical and entertainment operations in their assigned venue, ensuring smooth production execution, equipment maintenance, and personnel management. This includes supporting performances, managing production staff, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating logistics for Headliners and events.

Responsibilities

1. Venue & Production Oversight

  • Manage all rehearsals, performances, and show operations.

  • Act as Stage Manager, calling cues and operating show control systems.

  • Maintain artistic and technical integrity of all entertainment per original design.

2. Technical Operations & Maintenance

  • Supervise use and maintenance of lighting, sound, rigging, and automation systems.

  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and repaired per SQM and AMOS procedures.

  • Perform or oversee regular inspections and safe storage of gear.

3. Inventory & Finance

  • Manage technical budgets, inventory, and ordering systems (AMOS, JD Edwards, CT).

  • Monitor spare parts and technical supplies; submit RFRs and maintain accurate records.

  • Provide annual inventory reports and plan for equipment replacements.

4. Staffing & Training

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and cross-training of all technical roles.

  • Coordinate onboarding and handovers; support performance development.

  • If no Technical Director onboard, liaise with shoreside Entertainment Scheduling.

5. Administration & Communication

  • Maintain clear communication with shoreside and onboard leadership.

  • Attend meetings, respond to PROD emails, manage technical documentation and show records.

  • Prepare and maintain handover notes with full documentation and password logs.

6. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with environmental and USPH standards.

  • Lead technical support for emergency drills and rescue trainings.

  • Ensure performance spaces meet inspection readiness.

7. Guest & Headliner Relations

  • Welcome and assist Headliners with equipment and logistics.

  • Coordinate with the Port Agent for ground transportation and documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Theater, Stage Management, or Technical discipline preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in stage or production management (Broadway, Vegas, or cruise equivalent).

  • Certifications: Technical qualifications in sound, lighting, rigging, or automation preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of theater production, technical systems, and international entertainment standards.

  • Financial and inventory management experience.

  • Proven leadership in training, motivating, and evaluating technical staff.

  • Familiarity with entertainment software and backup protocols.

  • Up-to-date with industry trends.

Physical & Language Requirements

  • Must pass medical evaluation and be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Full use of arms, legs, vision, and hearing for emergency procedures.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; able to give and follow instructions clearly.
