Operational Contracts Manager - Marine

FINTEC recruit is looking for an Operational Contracts Manager for our client in the Marine sector. This is a permanent position based near Edinburgh, UK. Ports or Marine experience preferred.
A competitive salary up to £50,000 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with third parties and sub-contractors on a marine site
• Ensure Safety meetings, risk assessments are adhered to and in line with company policy
• Ensuring vessel staff and on-shore staff maintain a high level of safety awareness
• Monitor performance and collecting relevant data re operational performance
• Liaison with technical staff, monitor maintenance of vessels and equipment, ensuring vessels and equipment are in order and within certification
• Assisting the Commercial Manager with contract budgeting and be able to manage operations within budget.
• Experience of staff management as well as preparation and execution of operational plans and preparing and executing crew schedules.
• Compliance with HR, HSEQ and other company policies
• Responsible for running the office on a daily basis in terms of financial aspects
• Able to identify areas and opportunities to increase revenue for the company
• Knowledge and experience of contract management
• Awareness of marine statutory legislation

The successful candidate for the Operational Contracts Manager role will have
• Previous experience in Commercial Contracts or Operational role, working in a Port or Marine base
• Staff supervisory experience, staff appraisals preparation and execution of work plans and crew schedules
• Monitoring Vessels and ensuring equipment meets standards and certification. Good communication in liaising with internal and external organisations.
• Knowledge of Marine statutory legislation
• Experience of KPI’s, budgeting and full operational requirements.
