Technical Superintendent

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Technical Superintendent to join a client with a fleet of commercial workboats. This is a full time, permanent role working in office on the West Coast Scotland. The Technical Superintendent will be working within the Operations department and responsible for the operational and technical management of allocated vessels. This is fast paced environment so requires a candidate that has great multi-tasking skills and thrives within a dynamic environment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure vessels' operational status is maintained and meets standards required by statutory and classification bodies at all times

• Knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, Flag State and Classification Society regs

• Responsible for safe and cost effective operational and technical management of vessels

• Optimise the application of existing and emerging technology to increase vessel and equipment reliability and performance

• Analyse technical data to assess and improve equipment performance

• Provide advice and guidance on operational and technical matters to crew, senior management, clients and external bodies as required

• Plan and implement system of vessel inspections and audits

• Plan and manage dry docking process

• Project management activities including identifying potential projects and opportunities

Ideal candidate would have worked as an Engineer on Crew Transfer/Tug and Multicat vessels previously and looking to move shoreside.

Location - West coast, Scotland

Salary - Competitive

Start - ASAP

Annual Leave - 34 days including public holidays

Working Hours - 35 hours/week, some on call work on rota basis

Must have the right to work in UK without requiring sponsorship

Driver's licence is required
