2nd Engineer on Landing Craft vessel

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a 2nd Engineer to join a 45m Landing Craft vessel, working onboard with 8 crew.

Rank - 2nd Engineer
Rotation - 8 weeks on/off
Location - Falkland Islands
Day Rate - £230-£252 DOE
Start Date - ASAP

EOOW COC or above
Must be willing to take a full medical and background check to receive a work permit for immigration purposes in the Falkland Islands
The current tax regulation in the Falkland Islands is as follows :

- In the islands for less than 45 days tax free.

- In the islands for more than 183 days then first £16,860 is tax free, next £18,000 is 21% and remainder 26%.

- In the islands for less than 183 days but more than 45 then the tax-free allowance is reduced pro rata.

- There are also mandatory deductions for RPC (Retirement Pension Contribution) of around £23.34 per week.

- We are required to deduct PAYE and usually deduct a straight 26% which then ensures no one faces a tax bill at the end of the year.
