The purpose of the role is to provide engineering input and support to the Projects, Tender and Operations department within own engineering discipline.

*Perform detailed (Finite Element) analyses of pipe lay, SURF and/or (subsea) structures installation activities.
*Determine operational limitations and workability figures for mentioned activities.

Responsibilities

*Responsible for delivery of allocated analysis engineering within the Engineering Department and Tender Department.
*Assisting and aiding in reinforcing, checking and expanding standard engineering procedures/processes and documents.
*Completion of allocated project tasks in compliance with Engineering Standards, Safety Policies and Assurance objectives.
*Identify all risks associate with the allocated engineering tasks. Ensure that they are mitigated as far as reasonably practicable and provide updates to Project Manager for maintenance of the project risk register.
*Support the development of technical competence of other engineers.
*Actively support to other engineers when required.
*Prepare installation engineering calculations to determine suitable installation methodologies and limiting criteria in accordance with project specifications and Engineering Standards for task allocated.
*Perform pipeline installation analysis using industry standard software.
*Perform subsea lifting and lowering analysis using industry standard software.
*Interface with Drawing Office to ensure timely preparation of drawings required for inclusion in engineering documents and procedures.
*Present allocated engineering task project engineering details at Technical Review, Operations Review and HIRA.
*Interface with Client, Independent Verification Authority and Marine Warranty Surveyor to satisfactorily resolve any comments on documents issued as part of allocated engineering tasks.

Quality

*Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001.
*Understand any relevant procedures contained in the appropriate Quality Management Plans.
*Ensure the quality of own deliverables is in compliance with (internal) Client and Engineering department requirements.

Person

*Bachelor/Master Degree in Naval Architecture, Civil, Mechanical or an equivalent Engineering discipline.
*5 to 8 years' experience in the offshore industry; preferably in pipe lay, SURF and/or (subsea) lift engineering.
*Good command of the English language; both written and spoken.
*Theoretical and practical knowledge of offshore transportation and installation of pipelines, subsea structures and/or offshore platforms.
*Proven experience with performing detailed analyses using industry standard Engineering software, such as Offpipe, Orcaflex, SACS, Ansys or equivalent software packages.
*Good working knowledge of generic software, such as MS Office, Autocad, MathCAD.
*Good reporting skills.

*Thorough knowledge and understanding of principle discipline and peripheral subjects;
*Thorough knowledge of behavior of structures/vessels in offshore environment;
*Proven planning and analytical skills, with the ability to systematically breakdown and prioritize complex work activities
*Proven ability to cope effectively with deadlines and demands
*Good knowledge of offshore industry related engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Offpipe, Orcaflex, Ansys, Sacs, etc.
*Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Project (basic)
