Hydraulic Engineer

We have partnered with a leader in the deep water offshore exploration and production industry. We are searching for a Hydraulic Engineer who has experience working with the SURF (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flow Lines) industry and understands what it takes to develop and design subsea installation projects. This person must have over 4 years of experience as a Hydraulic Engineer.

We will need this Hydraulic Engineer to be responsible for:

• Providing primary design responsibility for hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Specify and recommend purchased hydraulic components (i.e. cylinders, valves, pumps).
• Provide technical interface with external hydraulic and pneumatic components suppliers and our internal Supply Chain function
• Oversee and develop hydraulic and or pneumatic systems and component tests and test procedures.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly as it relates to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Oversee failure analysis of hydraulic and pneumatic components.

We will need a Hydraulic Engineer to have the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience in hydraulic systems.
• Certified Fluid Power Engineer credentials and computer aided hydraulic systems modeling experience.
• Comfortable with design software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective communication and relationship building skills. Most have strong problem solving, project management and time management skills.

This person must have a desire to learn and get involved in new and novel areas. This is necessary for success with Faststream and our client.
