Engineering Watch keeping Officer
Sea-Eye e. V. is a civil aid organization that was founded in 2015 to no longer stand by and watch people die in the Mediterranean Sea. With our rescue ship SEA-EYE 4, we search for people in distress on the world's deadliest migration route and fight against the daily loss of life at sea.This is because we are convinced:

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintenance, and operation of most of the pieces of machinery of the vessel

• working closely with the chief engineer in problem-solving

• Watch-keeping duties, with the ability to take fast decisions during emergency

• Ensure seamless communication between Engine Department and Deck officers duringoperations

YOUR PROFILE
•Valid certificates of competency according to STCW convention III/1, VI/2(1),VI/3 or III/7, VI/1

• German endorsement/ willingness to get a German endorsement

• Valid medical certificate for sea service• Good English language skills

• Willingness to work with volunteers
