Senior Stratigrapher / Palynologist

My client is a multi-disciplinary global G&G consultancy who provides leading geological, geophysical and reservoir capabilities to the global oil and gas industry.

My client is looking to recruit a Biostratigrapher / Palynologist, who will be responsible for undertaking biostratigraphic (micropalaeontological, nannopalaeontologogical or palynological) analysis of samples.
You will provide interpretations and correlations of biostratigraphic data as well as log slides. Working as part of the existing team, you will also ensure the delivery of a high quality and customer focused service, either within the office (microscope based work) or at wellsite locations.

The role will require flexibility to travel and mandatory offshore training.

The ideal candidate will be;
Degree qualified (BSc or above) in a relevant geological discipline and have had demonstrable experience working within an oil and gas consultancy.
Experience of thin section micropalaeontologist, carbonate stratigraphy, larger benthic foraminifera and microfacies analysis will also be required.
Demonstrable experience of writing technical reports and presenting this information to audiences will be essential in addition to a willingness to travel, a professional and calm approach to work and the ability
