Job objective
Ensure effective management of Integrity issues on specific assets as technical focal point. Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of IM systems in support of the Asset team requirements & management of the personnel involved. Job of Asset Integrity Engineer is applicable to the operational bases. Asset Integrity Engineer liaises closely with other members of Corporate Integrity Management Section.

Result areas
Integrity Engineering
*Is responsible for implementation of Integrity and Corrosion management strategies, Inspection and fabric maintenance programmes on assigned asset(s) during day to day operational activities.
*Is accountable for the content of the integrity management / corrosion monitoring database.
*Is accountable for planning & co-ordination of the RBA life cycle process to optimize inspection frequencies, maintenance costs & plant availability.
*Participate in RBA sessions and determine the long term inspection plans.
*Is responsible for endorsement of Written Schemes of Examination post completion of RBA.
*Ensures that the Maintenance Management System is updated to reflect the output of RBA's.
*Acts as integrity contact for external integrity engineering support, reviewing inspection plans, work packs and acceptance of integrity status reports. Is responsible for failure and risk analysis, remaining life & level 1 fitness for service assessment.
*Is focal point for review, assessment and reporting of high risk anomalies in MCDR's.
*Ensures appropriate mitigation and remedial actions are established for MCDR's.
*Where required, ensures that RCA and failure investigations are carried out.
*Provides input to and participates in development of Integrity management strategies.
*Is accountable for reporting of asset performance, condition & assurance activities in technical integrity area.
*Is accountable for the compilation of an Annual Statement of Integrity Report for the relevant asset.
*Is accountable for ensuring both Pressure System and Structural Integrity management plans are up to date and in place for each asset.
*Organises & runs the monthly Integrity meeting for each asset, defining the priorities for both Anomaly and FM work scope completion.
*Provides mentoring and direction to Integrity Coordinator.
*Provides input to annual budget preparation for each asset and justification for client.
*Provides support in proposing Asset integrity cost plan to Asset managers and control of spend.

Education & experience
*Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline .
*Desirable to be working towards or has attained Chartered Engineering Status
*High level of appropriate industry experience with technical integrity and corrosion management and the execution of inspection programs on offshore installations.
*Effective communicator in English, both verbally as well as in writing.
*Knowledge of offshore legislation and the basics of verification.
*Knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations and Pressure Equipment Directive.
*Knowledge of class & flag rules.
*Familiar with Risk Based Inspection principles and strategies.
*Good appreciation of both internal and external deterioration mechanisms associated with Oil & Gas operations.
*Appreciation of relevant NDT techniques and their limitations to ensure appropriate selection on Written Schemes of Examination.
*Good knowledge of relevant engineering tools and software.
*Experience in offshore or maritime maintenance/integrity.
