Maintenance & Assembly Fitter – Permanent – Southampton – £30k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading marine technical services provider based in Southampton.

You will support the Technical Manager in delivering to the business support in both the workshop activities and subsea operational requirements. Such activities will include hull aperture blank manufacturing, new build equipment manufacturing and to complete maintenance tasks to support plant equipment and building facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide reasonable support to maintenance teams in the Southampton and Plymouth office when assessed as competent
• Support facilities maintenance as required, under the guidance of the appointed line manager
• Support blank manufacturing, equipment builds and plant maintenance
• Support on-site operations, such as logistics, diving, ROV and closed circuit prop polishing and assist in light duties to support Life Support Equipment
• Ensure load out lists and heads up documents are accurately updated, providing a key link between operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure the red tag procedure is completed correctly for defective equipment
• Support the diving supervisor when required and ensure diving operations are carried out to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.

Experience Required:

• Have been trained and understand the requirements of the Planned Maintenance System.
• Possess a basic knowledge of hydraulic circuits, and diesel engine operation and maintenance.
• To hold appropriate qualification/certification to undertake PAT testing
• Be familiar with relevant current legislation
• Possess an in date certificate for forklift operation.
