Sea-Eye e. V. is a civil aid organization that was founded in 2015 to no longer stand by and watch people dying in the Mediterranean Sea. With our rescue ship SEA-EYE 4, we search for people in distress on the world's deadliest migration route and fight against the daily loss of life at sea.

TASKS

• Responsibility for the ship and its operation in close cooperation with the Head of Mission.
• Responsibility for the proper management and navigation of the ship and for the safety of the crew and guests on board.
• Together with the Head of Mission, you will familiarize the crew with the ship, the regular work and general procedures on board.
• In the event of a rescue operation, you will be responsible for the evacuation, welfare and disembarkation of the guests on board in close cooperation with the Head of Mission.

YOUR PROFILE

• Valid certificates of competency according to STCW II/2, IV/2, VI/2(1), VI/3.
• Valid Medical fitness and valid SSO
• German Endorsement required
• Experience in ship management
• Very good ability to work in a team, communication skills and adaptability
• Very good English language skills
• Ideally experience in (civil) sea rescue as well as in working with volunteers on board
