Port Captain

A leading operator in the Arabian Gulf is seeking an experienced Port Captain for their large fleet of AHTS and utility vessels, working under Aramco charter.

The Port Captain will:

Coordinate with the Masters, other departments and management concerning Crewing / Maintenance / Operations.Monitor the classification and statutory requirements of the vessels.Follow daily positioning of vessels and make all necessary arrangement for vessels coming in / off hire.Manage the acquisition of provisions and consumable deck stores e.g. medicine, paints, bridge storesAct as the main liaison between Masters and Head Office, and to also stand in as an emergency Master on any vessel if and when required.

The idea candidate will:

Have served as Master of AHTS vessels for many years.Be familiar with the management and training of crew.Have experience working in oil fields.Have strong management and organisational skills.Be comfortable working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
