Certification Engineer (Contract)

Responsibility and Authority

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Participate in all phases of the Project from, construction, commissioning, execution, modification to completion
*Manage delivery, review, and compilation of all statutory, regulatory and compliance certification.
*Follow up with vendors for delivery of certification.
*Compilation and handover of complete Certification dossiers to operation.
*To ensure documentation meets with all requirements under regulatory compliance and Safety case regime
*Follow-up with certification/verification activities, during design development, construction, commissioning and testing
*Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
*Work closely with and actively support supply chain, estimation, planning and other project teams
*Provide technical clarifications towards clients, sub suppliers, class and yard with guidance
*Support Technical Maintenance & Support team, Operation Manager as and when required.

Qualification Requirements

Education
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
* Long relevant experience may replace formal education

Experience
* 0-3 years of relevant experience within the shipping and offshore industry

Interpersonal Skills
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Ability to work in a structured and systematic way
* Ability to deliver high quality work on time
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary/multinational environment

Knowledge
* Knowledge of technical safety design
* Knowledge of the relevant requirements of the classification societies and international rules and regulations
* Fluent in English (oral and written)

Other
* The position may require assignments at project premises or on board units
* The position may require heavy travel and long working hours in peak periods
