We are recruiting for an Fleet Superintendent based at our Head Office in Fairlie, Scotland. Working as part of a team in our Operations department, you will be responsible for the operational and technical management of our fleet of workboats. This is a busy role and will suit someone who is an excellent multi-tasker and thrives in a dynamic environment. Must be UK national or have the right to work in the UK.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure vessels' operational status is maintained and meets standards required by statutory and classification bodies at all times
  • Knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, Flag State and Classification Society regs
  • Responsible for safe and cost effective operational and technical management of vessels
  • Optimise the application of existing and emerging technology to increase vessel and equipment reliability and performance
  • Plan, budget, organise, direct and control tasks, people and resources to meet changing operational and technical demands
  • Analyse technical data to assess and improve equipment performance
  • Control and manage all maintenance and modification engineering activities
  • Provide advice and guidance on operational and technical matters to crew, senior management, clients and external bodies as required
  • Support and liaise with Compliance department to ensure Safety Management System adherence
  • Develop and manage safe systems of work
  • Plan and implement system of vessel inspections and audits
  • Plan and manage dry docking process
  • Project management activities including identifying potential projects and opportunities
  • Focus on continual improvement
  • Previous seagoing experience as an Engineering Officer, and/or vessel/fleet management experience, is preferred, however, we are also interested to hear from candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background and/ or Electrical Engineering background. You must also have good IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Role requires business travel (including international travel) sometimes at short notice, and some on call work. Competitive salary offered.
