The Role

To develop and implement the Terminal maintenance strategy, in line with the overall Engineering and Business strategies. Strategies include; development and management of engineering, maintenance, technical development and improvement plans to achieve appropriate and optimised levels of assurance, safety, reliability and availability of all BP Terminal assets.

LEADERSHIP

  • Provide Terminal Storage Operations Managers (SOM) with technical guidance in matters of engineering compliance and equipment technical performance
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching and mentoring to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Act as point of contact for escalated Terminal engineering issues and be the 'technical link' between
  • Terminal operations and the central Engineering & Integrity Team

PROCEDURES

  • Develop local processes to ensure all Terminal Engineering Drawings, documentation and data is current, appropriately stored and readily available for reference and audit purposes
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Terminal Critical Spares strategy
  • Active member of the Technical Assurance Group (TAG) to include a review of Terminal engineering activities and discussing and sharing of best practices across the Terminal networks

ASSETS

  • Regularly review and analyse CMMS data and, using appropriate techniques, optimise the effectiveness of routine planned Terminal maintenance programs
  • Based on analysis of non-routine maintenance activities and reported defects in the CMMS, identify exceptional maintenance items, develop cost/benefit remediation proposals including timelines and
    budgets
  • Assist Project Coordinators in the development and effective delivery, implementation, construction, commissioning and handover; of Terminal Engineering Projects
  • Lead Terminal specific Post Project Reviews; communicate learnings to the Project Manager
