Vessel Performance Analyst – Permanent – Glasgow – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Marine & Technical Services team of a global ship owner and operator based in Glasgow.

As a Vessel Performance Analyst, you’ll be the linchpin between the operations teams and performance optimization efforts. Your keen eye for detail will be instrumental in identifying deviations from expected vessel performance, unlocking insights using cutting-edge tools, and delivering actionable feedback to enhance operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration Champion: Forge strong partnerships with ship and shore teams to elevate operational excellence.
  • Financial Insight: Provide valuable support in conducting cost-benefit analyses for strategic decision-making.
  • Operational Support: Serve as a trusted resource for operations teams, addressing performance inquiries and providing timely assistance.
  • Performance Enhancement: Take the lead in investigating performance variances, collaborating closely with ship teams to drive improvement.
  • Best Practice Advocate: Share insights and best practices to enhance overall performance efficiency.
  • Issue Identification: Identify and flag systematic performance issues for further consideration by the Performance team.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and quality of performance-related data, including EU MRV and IMO DCS validation.

Experience Required:

  • Analytical prowess, with a knack for problem-solving and decision-making.
  • A naturally curious mindset coupled with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with key performance clauses within charter parties.
  • Previous experience in LNG vessel operations or sailing (preferred)
