Vessel Operator / Operations Manager (Bulk) – Permanent – SW London – Competitive salary DOE

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operations department in a well-established shipping company based just South of London. Happy to consider candidates at Vessel Operator level with a couple years’ experience in similar role or someone more experienced who can come in as Operations Manager.

Although primarily in the Operations team, the company controls all Technical, Operational, Commercial & Crewing aspects of the vessels and this role will give you some exposure to all aspects of the business.

The main function of the role is the day to day operation of dry cargo vessels working closely with chartering managers, colleagues, Masters, agents and brokers resulting in the performance of safe, profitable and efficient voyages.

Experience Required:

• Sea going experience as a deck officer (Advantageous)
• Experience in a similar role ashore within an operations department
• Relevant University Degree (Preferred)
• Bulk Carrier experience is highly desirable.
• For Operations Manager role, management experience is desirable

You must have the right to work in the UK and be located within commutable distance to the office.
