Senior Project Manager (Dry Docks) – Permanent – Glasgow (Hybrid) – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in ship management as Senior Project Manager (Dry Docks).

The role will provide practical On-site Support in Key Technical Activity Area’s for vessel technical management including drydocking, lay-ups, takeovers, incident investigation and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering scheduled and emergency dry docking projects.
• Delivering vessel takeover projects.
• Delivering incident investigations.
• Delivering technical support to all applicable technical projects.
• Delivering vessel lay-up projects.
• Assisting the tech board in Defining policies, procedures and standards and the practical application of such standards across the Group.
• Support the Defining technical standards to meet rules and clients’ requirements.

Experience Required:

• Extensive technical experience in managing dry dockings and large repairs. A minimum of 25 to 50 executed dry dockings is the envisaged level of experience with a variety of ship types.
• Proven experience in Specification writing and review
• Proven experience in Project Management and cost control execution.
• Proven experience of Dry Dock tender analysis and final invoice negotiation.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Graduate Engineer with Ship Repair experience, Superintendent or previously sailed as a Chief Engineer with operational exposure (desirable)
• Travel level is anticipated to be 140+ days per year

The role is based from the Glasgow office but offers hybrid working. You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered.
