Chief Engineer and 2nd Stewardess/Chef

The Company

Our client is a 45m+ Mediterranean based luxury charter yacht. After recent changes on the yacht and a short yard period they are looking for a Chief Engineer and 2nd Stewardess or Chef. This role would be ideal for a couple looking to work on the same boat.

The Role

Chief Engineer
- Managing all operations of the engine room and operation on the vessel.
- Working with the 2nd engineer to get tasks completed.
- Ensuring all safety, operational and commercial procedures are followed.
- Preparing the yacht for Charter.

Chef
- Preparing meals for both crew and guests.
- Helping with assigned duties on board the yacht.

2nd Stewardess
- Working with the Chief Stewardess to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- The role will involve a mix of housekeeping and service responsibilities.

The Person

The ideal candidates for this position will be looking for a long term placements on an active charter yacht with the following qualifications:
- Valid ENG 1 + STCW
- Previous experience on a yacht in their respective position.
- Chief Engineer requires a minimum Y3 qualification and the Chef/Stewardess must possess professional qualifications in their field.
- This position would suit a couple who would be sharing a double cabin.

Our client is offering the opportunity for a couple to work together on a busy yacht with an exciting schedule planned this summer attending some high profile events. The Chief Engineer will be rewarded with a salary of $8,500 and the Chef/2nd Stewardess with a competitive salary depending upon experience. Also included are full benefits and paid flights home.
