Project Engineer – (Plymouth)

Project Engineer – Permanent – Plymouth – £45k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading marine services provider based in Plymouth.

The role will involve the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects, including the preparation of proposals, project schedules and co-ordination of all of the agreed engineering work.

You will be responsible & accountable for ensuring that all assigned personnel and coordinating their activities in accordance with other project participants and that contract requirements are being satisfied.

Responsibilities include:

• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management.
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
• Participating in/managing client/Contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and project management issues.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

Experience Required:

• Engineering qualification in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Computer literate with knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Professional (including MS Project), also knowledge of bespoke design software i.e. AutoCAD, Mathcad, FEA
• Eligibility for Security Clearance up to UK Secret
• Must have right to work in the UK
