Workshop Tech – Permanent – Southampton – £28k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading maritime technical service provider based in Southampton.

The purpose of the role is to support the Technical Manager in delivering workshop activities such as hull aperture blank manufacturing, new build equipment manufacturing and to complete maintenance tasks.

The Workshop Tech will also support all diving operations by mobilizing and demobilizing diving equipment for operations and to act as a tender on dive sites if required.

Responsibilities include:

• To work within Health, Safety & Quality Systems
• Provide reasonable support to maintenance teams
• Support blank manufacturing, equipment builds and planet maintenance under the guideline of the appointed manager
• Ensure load out lists and head ups documents are accurately updated, providing a key link between operations and maintenance teams
• Ensure the red tag procedure is completed correctly for defective equipment
• Support all diving operations by mobilizing and demobilizing diving equipment for operations and to act as a tender on dive sites if required.

Experience Required:

• Experience within a workshop/operations environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective & proactive team member
• Good computer skills and using Microsoft packages
• UK driving license
• Hold a current suitable first aid qualification (Desirable)
