IT Project Specialist – Up to £60,000 – Havant or Aberdeen UK

Our client is a renowned global leader in marine electronics, offering products and services across various sectors, including commercial fishing, yachts, security, and environmental systems.

We are seeking a proficient IT Project Specialist experienced in IT & Marine Electronics to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee projects integrating navigation electronics and communication equipment with IT infrastructure, ensuring successful implementation aligned with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects integrating marine electronics equipment with diverse IT infrastructures.
• Collaborate with clients to grasp requirements, technical specifications, and desired outcomes.
• Develop project plans, addressing challenges specific to marine electronics integration, including scheduling and documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams onboard and onshore for seamless integration and deployment.
• Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with project methodologies, standards, and industry-specific regulations.
• Travel across the UK and occasionally overseas, overseeing system installation, integration, and commissioning.
• Perform pre-site surveys, configure systems, manage schedules and documents, and support sales and engineering teams.
• Provide technical support during and after system installations, contributing to continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

• Proficiency in IT infrastructure components and networking principles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven approach in marine operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse team collaboration and regulatory compliance.
• Documentation management expertise.

Desirable Experience:

• Prior experience in marine electronics integration.
• Understanding of navigation electronics and communication systems in the marine sector.
• Qualification in computer science, information technology, marine engineering, or related fields.
