Business Development Manager – London – Competitive Salary

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, strategically plan, and coordinate sales activities in the assigned region.
  • Develop relationships with key individuals and decision-makers at assigned clients.
  • Generate sales and leads for the fleet management software.
  • Define and maintain target lists of prospective clients in the region.
  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve defined sales targets.
  • Provide sales forecast data and market/customer information for sales planning.
  • Stay within expense budgets and observe company sales policies.
  • Produce local proposals for clients in accordance with procedures and pricing guidelines.
  • Actively follow up on proposals and conduct client presentations when required.
  • Provide support to operations to ensure customers receive appropriate service.
  • Communicate regularly with the Director of Business Development or Region Manager.
  • Participate in special projects and teams to support overall business development.
  • Meet or exceed delegated sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/quality-related experience.
  • Solid years of experience in the maritime software industry preferred.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of the companies Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions.
  • Skills in organizing, planning, and directing the work activities of professional employees, handling multiple ongoing projects.
  • Proficient in cost reporting and revenue forecasting.
  • Knowledge of the unique natures of both the software and maritime industries.
  • Strong client-based development skills and entrepreneurial mentality.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements with clients on scope of work and billing rates.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the companies Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
