Faststream has partnered with a Global Oil and Gas industry leader that is looking for a Corrosion Engineer.

The Corrosion Engineer role will be based in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities for the Corrosion Engineer:

  • Review and recommend immediate/temporary/permanent repairs for identified anomalies or deficiencies (including upgrade/replacement or corrosion mitigation requirements).
  • Assist with identification and need for inspection and monitoring requirements of field systems and equipment (including complete systems review for damage mechanism identification).
  • Assist in Risk Based Inspection (RBI) analysis and revalidation.
  • Review chemical usage/optimization and technical compatibility with cost benefit analysis.
  • Provide chemical injection requirements for new projects and injection requirement.
  • Review Material compatibility and coatings requirement for new facilities and general construction activities.
  • Perform failure analysis on corroded and failed components.
  • Review and recommend engineering solutions for failures and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Monitor and follow up on corrosion monitoring data.
  • Review project documents for new facilities and modifications for design and integrity compatibility with operating environment.

Qualifications for the Corrosion Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Prefer Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the corrosion Engineering Field in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge in corrosion control for oil and gas industry.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations, as required.
