My client is a renowned manufacturer of high-quality yacht tenders and watercraft, known for innovation and cutting-edge design. They are seeking a motivated and skilled Development Technician to join their technical department. This role is critical to their product development and manufacturing processes.

Job Description:

As a Development Technician, your primary focus will be on mechanical assemblies and GRP tooling manufacturing repair. You will play a key role in providing essential support to our assembly line operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Utilise your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to contribute to the development and assembly of their watercraft.

2. GRP Tooling: Apply your knowledge of GRP tool manufacturing and repair to maintain and enhance their tooling capabilities.

3. Product Development: Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to implement improvements and refinements to our product range.

4. Assembly Line Support: Provide technical support to the assembly line operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

5. Troubleshooting: Identify and address technical issues, both mechanical and electrical, to maintain the quality and reliability of their products.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical systems, preferably within the boat assembly and production industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively to address technical challenges.
  • Knowledge of GRP tool manufacturing and repair is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with precision.
