Senior Development Validation Planning (DVP) Engineer – Lowestoft – Permanent

Their tight-knit team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology to market, and we’re seeking a Senior DVP Engineer to lead our Design Verification Plan (DVP) efforts.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage DVP activities leveraging personal expertise, FMEA data, and Functional Requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design Team and external partners to define DVP requirements based on FMEAs.
  • Identify external testing resources when in-house facilities are insufficient.
  • Specify instrumentation based on test needs and define pass criteria aligned with the Functional Requirements Document.
  • Ensure the DVP aligns with requirements for a robust Engineering Sign Off.
  • Create test procedures where needed in our Quality Management System.
  • Provide status updates to the Leadership Team.
  • Generate test reports from validation testing results.
  • Assist in building Technical construction files.
  • Support homologation and certification efforts (RCD, IMO, and EPA).
  • Adapt test plans based on resource availability or reassignment, while considering overall development and validation planning impact.

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 10 years in Propulsion engineering within Product Development (Automotive, off highway, or Marine experience considered).
  • Proficiency in planning engineering test programs.
  • Experience across multiple product development cycles from conception to volume production.
  • Familiarity with robust engineering sign-off processes for consumer products.
  • Ability to draft technician-friendly test procedures.
  • Understanding of instrumentation techniques.
  • Strong network of engineering service providers.
  • Prior experience in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME), demonstrating hands-on teamwork.
