Chief Officer (Ferry) – Portsmouth, UK

I am looking for a Chief Officer to join a Ferry based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the deck department
• Manage the safe and efficient control of passenger and vehicle loading
• Ensure deck crew meet all relevant statutory requirements
• Act as the interface between the

Requirements:

• Sailed as 1st Officer or above
• Hold a minimum Chief Officer Unlimited Certificate
• Previous experience working with passengers
• Effective leadership and communication skills are essential
• Customer focused, empathetic and able to motivate your crew to deliver excellent customer service.

Candidates should be living in a commutable distance to Portsmouth as the position is not live on board.

You will be working on average 5 out of 7 days of the week.
