Fleet Manager (Bulk) – Permanent – USA – Competitive Package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable ship management company based in Boston. As Fleet Manager you will have the overall leadership and responsibility for the smooth operation of the fleet.

Responsibilities Include:

• The Fleet Manager is the authority ensuring safe operation and protecting the environment.
• The Fleet Manager is responsible for, and has the authority to, deliver full ship management service to the Customer.
• Be the link between the Customer and his/her ship and the responsible person for ensuring that the Customer fully benefits from the operational performance of his/her ship.
• Lead the Fleet Cell team and the leadership on board the ships to deliver Flawless Services to Customers
• Train, encourage, mentor and develop the fleet cell team and the leadership on board.
• By using all appropriate tools (Shipsure, CTD, CSP etc) and periodic meetings, monitor & ensure the Fleet Cell is working efficiently with no complaints from the Clients.
• Directly responsible for the Safety culture, morale and performance of the team on board and ashore.

Experience Required:

• At least 3 years of management experience and a proven track record of managing within a ship management company
• Preferably a Chief Engineer’s CoC
• Strong knowledge of industry rules and regulations
• Ability to liaise with owners and charterers on technical matters
• Customer service oriented
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated management ability to lead teams
