Planned Maintenance Systems Technical Manager – Permanent – Remote (UK or EU)

This is a new role and an excellent opportunity to join a global shipping company. The role can be remote with expectations of being in Glasgow for a few days per month.

As the Planned Maintenance Systems Technical Manager, your main challenge will be to oversee and optimize the vessel maintenance processes to ensure smooth and reliable operations

Responsibilities include:

• Drive technical governance & common activities within all regional offices, to maintain consistent technical standards
• Promote & ensure effective technical management techniques & PMS systems are in use within all regional offices
• Responsible for the standardised approach and implementation of critical equipment across similar vessel segment, ensuring same is accurately identified within PMS systems
• Representing & supporting the technical department in third party audit sessions, such as TMSA, ISM, ISO etc
• Staying up to date with International standards and industry best practices and integrating them into the PMS

Experience Required:

• Engineering Seagoing experience is essential
• Excellent Technical understanding, awareness & knowledge of all relevant requirements involved in the safe & efficient ship management functions
• Strong knowledge of Port State Control, Flag State, MLC Compliance & vessel classification requirements
• Proven ability to manage projects and peroration of project deliverables including managing quality, financial budgets etc
• Previous experience within a ship management technical function and a working knowledge of ship management systems

Ideal locations would be Glasgow or London, however, would consider any location in the UK or EU as long as prepared to travel to Glasgow a for 2-3 days a month.
